Muckross Irish Gin Awarded Bronze at LSC 2025
Muckross Irish Gin has been awarded a Bronze medal at the 8th annual London Spirits Competition, held in London on 25 & 26 March 2025. The award is regarded as a meaningful recognition within the global spirits industry—highlighting products that deliver across quality, value, and presentation.
Unlike competitions that focus solely on technical aspects of distilling, the London Spirits Competition aims to identify spirits that appeal to consumers both on the shelf and on the drinks menu. To be considered for a medal, entries are judged on Quality, Value, and Packaging—a combination that reflects real-world buying decisions.
In addition to blind tasting, judges assess the label design and storytelling to determine how well the product connects with its audience and whether it offers good value for money.
Scoring Criteria:
- Quality Score: Out of 100
- Value Score: Out of 100
- Package Score: Out of 100
The total score determines the medal level awarded.

Judging is carried out by a panel of spirits buyers, consultants, and industry professionals actively involved in selecting and sourcing products for retail, hospitality, and on-trade venues.
“Recognition from the London Spirits Competition matters because it reflects what buyers and consumers actually look for,” said Andrea Kissane, co-founder of The Muckross Wild Irish Spirits Co. “This Bronze medal is a useful marker that we’re on the right track with the product.”
